A few months ago I posted the soon-to-be canonical image of the Obama cabinet watching the end of Osama Bin Laden and the reprint of that same image minus Hillary. I know it’s old news but this week I came across The Free Williamsburg response her removal – which I thought might give you a chuckle….

Heh, nice idea.
Sometimes changing the subject or a sentence or an act can be a nice way to demonstrate or check if something is discriminatory. Although I don’t think that exchanging one gender/race/sex/etc for something else makes a discriminatory situation any less so.
Tim, I agree with the “two wrongs don’t make a right” kind of thing that you are saying, but I do think it’s interesting to see how a reversal of the situation would have played out. And it’s not as if the Hillary-only photo was trying to be passed off as the genuine article, like the men weren’t even there.
I know, I know.
I often use reversal or exchange as some kind of mental test to see if I am falling for a stereotype.
It is interesting to see how a situation or a comment is suddenly not so self-evident anymore when you reverse roles or exchange gender for something else.
Haha, love it. I still can’t believe she was ever removed from the photograph. It pisses me off.
